Jennifer Lopez is always shutting it down during awards season. Things were no different at the 2015 Oscars. She wore a gorgeous nude Elie Saab gown and paired it with a colorful and fresh makeup look that had us all asking “is it spring yet?” Hopefully things start to warm up sooner rather than later. I got my Kim K on and tried the look she wore to the Grammys this year. The eyes were completely shimmery, which is a totally different style from what I normally wear. It was a top pick when I asked who had your favorite look of the night on Instagram so I gave it a try. I loved the result and think this would be great for a date night. New year, new me! That’s what we all say, right? I’m currently fighting my soda addiction by going cold turkey. It is day four and I feel like I need to scratch little tally marks on my desk or something for each day I go without a sip. I’m definitely going to need at least a little medal for this or something. Soda is one of my greatest vices, second only to my love for makeup, which fortunately can’t kill me. Anyway, I pretty much went off the deep end hauling ever since the holidays came around and there were tons of deals and new launches encouraging me to makeover my stash. I caught a glimpse of Jennifer Lopez’s makeup at the Golden Globes and I was immediately inspired to create a smokey eye with my new Tartelette matte eye shadow palette. That woman can do no wrong! I knew I was doing a sexy themed video later that night so this look was perfect! As I mentioned in the tutorial, I saved a bunch of pictures of J. Lo’s look so I will be recreating it with this palette soon.
