Jennifer Lopez is always shutting it down during awards season. Things were no different at the 2015 Oscars. She wore a gorgeous nude Elie Saab gown and paired it with a colorful and fresh makeup look that had us all asking “is it spring yet?” Hopefully things start to warm up sooner rather than later. New year, new me! That’s what we all say, right? I’m currently fighting my soda addiction by going cold turkey. It is day four and I feel like I need to scratch little tally marks on my desk or something for each day I go without a sip. I’m definitely going to need at least a little medal for this or something. Soda is one of my greatest vices, second only to my love for makeup, which fortunately can’t kill me. Anyway, I pretty much went off the deep end hauling ever since the holidays came around and there were tons of deals and new launches encouraging me to makeover my stash. I caught a glimpse of Jennifer Lopez’s makeup at the Golden Globes and I was immediately inspired to create a smokey eye with my new Tartelette matte eye shadow palette. That woman can do no wrong! I knew I was doing a sexy themed video later that night so this look was perfect! As I mentioned in the tutorial, I saved a bunch of pictures of J. Lo’s look so I will be recreating it with this palette soon.
